# Solignition App

> The Solignition web app (app.solignition.xyz) is where builders borrow SOL to deploy Solana programs and liquidity providers deposit SOL to earn yield. Solignition is a permissionless, non-custodial DeFi lending protocol on Solana.

Connect a Solana wallet to use the app. Builders upload compiled program bytecode (`.so`), request a loan for the rent + deployment fees, and the protocol deploys the program and holds its upgrade authority in escrow until the loan is repaid. Repay principal plus linear, time-prorated interest before expiry to reclaim upgrade authority. Liquidity providers deposit SOL into the vault, receive shares, and earn yield from borrower interest and reclaimed defaults. If a loan is not repaid before expiry, the protocol closes the program and reclaims the SOL to the vault.
